Modelling Modern Tracked Armored Vehicles in 1:35th scale.

Introduction

This site has seen it's first light of day in 2001. Back then it was more or less an experiment in building a website and keeping up with various technologies. As much as I like to be a modeller in my spare time, my profession is still that of a computer systems engineer. For me it was a logical step to incorporate both my job and my hobby into this, the website you are now looking at.

Born in 1968 in the Netherlands, my scale modelling hobby took of when I was about 7 years old and my parents bought me a H0 scale model train set. I was also very interested in building model airplanes but both hobbies came to an end as my education did not leave much room for time consuming hobbies.
I restarted my plastic modelling hobby straight after I've left the Dutch army in 1990. My goal was to build a model of the Leopard 1V tank as a sort of momentum of my experiences with the real vehicle. Since then I've build quite a number of Leopard models and a whole range of other tank types, but that 1V has never made it into my collection. A matter of priorities I guess.

Modelling is a fun thing to do. But sharing that experience can be even more fun. That is why I'm a member of KMK, the infamous Belgian modelling club. I gained a lot, and still do, from all my modelling friends and whenever possible I will share my own modelling insights with them or anyone else for that matter. Sharing is also the main reason behind this website. As time permits I will update this site with various pictures of my scale models while building and painting them. A sort of showcase if you like.

I hope you have nice stay here.

Marcel Jussen.
